Q: Why this logo?
A: The Satoyama Experience logo is derived from the characters of the word “Satoyama” 「里山」. The left side of the logo is from the letter 「里」or “Sato”, meaning homeland and is written with the image of the “chidori-koshi” (a type of woodwork pattern created by the Master Builders of Hida) to represent that this site was born from the Hida area.
